3 months old

I cannot believe that Skyler is 3 months old already. She is starting to laugh when we play with her. She is becoming a much happier baby more of the time. The crying is finally starting to slow down a bit. This last week has been rough at night. She has been waking up again every 3 hours. I am pretty sure she is going through a growth spurt. She is now playing in her exersaucer. Her feet barely touch the ground. She stares at the toys in amazement, it is so cute. Peyton has been so good with her. She sits next to her and they talk to each other. Peyton loves it when the baby smiles and coos at her.

Where's the baby?

Peyton got four baby dolls for Christmas. We were playing in the playroom when I noticed I had set Skyler down right in between two other baby dolls and she looks just like them. She was staring at them and talking to them as if they were talking back.

Santa came to the Torrey house

We had a great Christmas. There is nothing better than your little one waking up and coming out in their pajamas with wild bed head on Christmas morning. Peyton was so excited to wake up and see that Santa had left her lots of presents. Roxie helped her open them. I know a little weird, but our boxers love Christmas. We went to my parents house for dinner in the afternoon and Peyton opened presents over there for her and Skyler. My father of course had his karaoke out and we all sang like old times. It was nice to feel like when I was little and family all gathered to play guitar and sing.

Babies Room Completed

I received the best gift for Christmas a mother could have gotten. Skyler now has her own room and sleeping in her bed every night. Her first night was on Christmas eve. She slept in there like a champ. It is so nice to have my bedroom back to do whatever I want after the kids are in bed.

Say Cheese!!!!

We took the kids to see Santa on Saturday December 20th to the First photo studio in Cocoa Beach. They were doing the food drive exchange for santa pictures. However many cans you took is how many pictures they gave you. Peyton just refused to smile so we got mug shots with Santa:) I was very pleased the baby was awake and looked at the camera. Next year she will probably not like him but for now she does not know any different.

Copays are our friend

Peyton has been very sick this weekend. Friday she started to get a temperature and runny nose. SHe sounded like she might lose her voice. When I put her to bed I gave her Motrin and within 1 1/2 hours she was spiked at 105.1. I could not even give her tylenol yet to piggyback. We were able to get it down with the bath to 104. She has had a horrible cough and runny nose. Took her to urgent care on Saturday because temperature was between 105 and 107. Again immediately gave a her bath to bring it down and went to the doctor. He gave her a presription and said if she gets worse to take her to the hospital. Then we get home and she starts puking everywhere for about 3 hours. She then was able to finally go to sleep and again woke up with a high fever. We just kept a close eye on her yesterday and now this morning are getting ready to take her back to be seen first thing. I feel horrible that I cannot do anything to help her but comfort her. The doctor told us to keep her seperated from her sister because it is dangerous for the baby to get this. It has been very hard for her to not be with the baby and when I am feeding the baby she has to stay with Dad on the other side of the room. That just kills her. Children always want their moms when they are really sick. Hope todays doctor visit has a good outcome with higher hopes.
